Seneca Elementary, a demonstration school for Project Moving Forward, welcomed grandparents for juice, donuts, and classroom visits for Grandparent's Day on September 11. Seneca Stars had a wonderful time eating breakfast with their grandparents and taking pictures at our beautiful photo booth. After, grandparents had the opportunity to join our scholars during our school wide vocabulary program, Project Moving Forward, which is funded by a $1.9 million federal grant and focuses on schools and communities working together to close the achievement gap through an innovative program that targets vocabulary along with language and literacy development. It was wonderful to see the students and their grandparents learning and working together!
