Department Overview

 

The Moreno Valley Unified School District Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA) provides services to ensure that all individuals with exceptional needs from birth through age 21 are correctly identified, assessed, and provided a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) with programs and services designed to meet their unique needs in the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE).

The MVUSD SELPA works in collaboration with our families, staff, community members, and partners in education to empower students to become future ready and positively impact the world. In keeping with the District’s mission to provide an equitable education for all students to be prepared for college and/or a viable career path for a successful life, the MVUSD SELPA is committed to providing students with the supports, services, accommodations, and resources required to meet their individualized needs resulting from their disabilities.
